REDEFINING EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: AN ADULT EDUCATION PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

Achieving and promoting sustainuble development is a respnsibility saddled on all and sundry. In the education sector, every segment of this sector (achult education inclusive) is devoted to achieving this noble course. Adult educution is a technique for odult empowerment that enables individuals to improve thelr soclal and economie standing, so they may fully contribute to both individuul and nattonal growth. In this wise, adult education is meant to reduce illiterucy, poverty, inequulity, and climute change to ensure sustainable development of individuuls and soclety at large, as such, there is urgent needto prioritize adult education at all tiers.
