Abstract

  1. This paper examined the impact of Computer Assisted Instructional Package (CAIP) and its relevance to teaching and learning for national development. The meaning of Computer Assisted Instruction and its importance in teaching and learning were investigated and discussed. The advantages and disadvantages of Computer Assisted Instructional Package in teaching and learning were also highlighted. For Computer Assisted Instructional Package to be impactful and relevant in the teaching and learning processes for national development, it was recommended that teachers should be more committed to teaching with the use of CAIP government should endevour to post and provide teachers skilled in computer assisted instruction to teach schools to impact skills to the students as well as to provide institutions at all levels in the country with adequate computers.
